Nokas take over all of DNB Norway's ATMs and deposit machines

Aim to make cash more accessible to consumers in the years to come.

DNB Bank ASA transfers 86 ATMs and ATMs to an experienced and professional player in the Nordic market. From before, Nokas have around 260 own ATMs in Norway and a total of almost 1,400 in the Nordic region. In addition, Nokas operate around 800 ATMs for other players. Following the transfer, Nokas strengthen our position as the leading player in ATMs in Norway and thus become an important premise giver for maintaining and developing a range of cash solutions.

Director of Nokas ATMs Thomas Ohlsson says that the Norwegian banking market is looking for more efficient solutions for the operation of its ATMs, while at the same time there is a desire to increase the availability and services to its customers.
He also points to a stated wish from the Norwegian financial authority bodies where the banking industry is asked to take the initiative for a common deposit platform, as they already have for withdrawals from ATMs. He is happy with the DNB agreement. This is a common obligation to develop a solution that in the long run can be offered broadly to the Norwegian business and private market.

- The talks with DNB have been constructive and solution-oriented, where both parties see opportunities to be able to realize their ambition to offer more services for withdrawals and cash deposits to Norwegian bank customers. Customers will continue to be customers of their bank and follow their already established customer relationship with the bank, but by Nokas now taking over responsibility, customers are guaranteed a sufficient service in a long-term perspective, says Thomas Ohlsson.
